Hi, I’m Celina!
I graduated Sierra Vista middle school in Irvine, CA and
I’m currently Northwood high school student with an interest in healthcare, psychology, and lifelong learning. I enjoy asking questions, exploring new ideas, and understanding the stories behind people and the world around me. Whether I’m volunteering, doing things that sparks my curiosity, or simply trying something new, I love opportunities that help me grow both academically and personally.
Outside of school, you’ll probably find me baking, trying new cafes, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, or planning my next adventure. I playing golf, skiing, swimming, boxing, and jogging. This website is a collection of the projects, experiences, and ideas that have shaped my journey so far. I hope you enjoy exploring it!

I earned my CNA certification at age 16 after completing months of classroom instruction and clinical training while balancing high school. The experience challenged me physically and mentally, but it also strengthened my passion for nursing.
One experience that will always stay with me was caring for an elderly Korean patient who could only speak Korean. As I helped her use the restroom, she softly told me, “It’s been a long time since I’ve felt such a warm touch.” She became emotional and later said she didn’t understand why she had ended up in that situation. Hearing those words was heartbreaking. In that moment, I realized that nursing is not only about providing medical care. It is also about preserving a person’s dignity, offering comfort, and making them feel seen during their most vulnerable moments.
That experience reminded me that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life, and it reinforced my commitment to pursuing a career in healthcare.
VITAS Hospice Volunteer
Since my sophomore year of high school, I have volunteered with VITAS Healthcare, where I support patients, their families, and the healthcare team. My responsibilities include spending time with patients through conversation and reading, assisting with administrative tasks, preparing family spaces, helping maintain patient rooms, and shadowing nurses to learn about compassionate end-of-life care.
This experience has changed the way I view life. It has taught me that life is precious and unpredictable, and that every moment should be lived with gratitude. Witnessing families say goodbye to their loved ones has shown me how important compassion, dignity, and human connection are during a person’s final chapter. Being able to support patients during this meaningful stage of life is a privilege that continues to inspire my goal of becoming a nurse.

During my freshman year, I was a member of TechnoDREAM 50881A robotics team, where I contributed to multiple aspects of the engineering process. I helped develop our engineering notebook, wrote code, assisted with building the robot, and had the opportunity to drive our robot during competitions. One of my favorite parts of the experience was creating a detailed engineering notebook that documented our design process, testing, and improvements.
Our team earned two Judges’ Awards, recognizing our teamwork, innovation, and well-documented engineering process. Robotics taught me how to solve problems collaboratively, adapt under pressure, and appreciate the value of careful planning and communication.
